Market Square was designed by renowned architect Howard Van Doren Shaw in 1916 and is the nation’s first planned shopping center. TSG has been involved with multiple renovations and restorations of this National Historic Landmark in the heart of Lake Forest, IL. Our work has included reconfiguration of the former Marshall Fields building as well as renovation and restoration work to the Northgate, North Market and South Market buildings of the complex including the two iconic clock towers. TSG has helped position these buildings for their next century of life.
