The Dearborn Observatory houses what at the time of its construction was the largest refracting telescope in the world. The building needed tender and thoughful care. TSG rehabilitated this 1889 Evanston landmark including stone masonry repairs and structural roof repairs, some of which was found to be fire damaged. TSG also designed removal, repair, and re-installation of a corroding ornate perimeter steel walkway.
