An advanced automated manufacturing equipment acquired by the client required a new foundation to be installed inside an operating facility. TSG worked closely with the geotechnical engineer and the client to develop an efficient foundation system to support the heavy but sensitive equipment. TSG also collaborated with the contractor to minimize disruption to the manufacturing plant. TSG designed a 150 ft by 20 ft mat foundation supported on helical piles. TSG worked with the helical pile contractor through construction addressing hidden obstructions uncovered during the demolition phase inside the 60 year-old structure.
