Floating roof? Check. As part of this renovation/addition to reposition the kindergarten as a full time learning center, the client desired that the multi-purpose room/cafeteria be a light-filled gathering space. TSG structured this portion of the addition to accommodate uninterrupted walls of glass on four sides. Ultimately, the structure achieved the desired effect that the roof volume floats above the cafeteria.
